Shirley D. Pierson

Pennington. Shirley D. Pierson, 80, of Pennington died on Monday at Compassionate Care in Trenton. Born in Chapel Hill, NC, she had been a resident of Pennington since 1970. She was a member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church and had formerly helped in the church nursery. The most important thing in Shirley's life was her family, her children and grandchildren who were the love of her life. Wife of the late George Harvey Pierson, she s survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Richard Correa of Pennington and a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Louise Pierson of Harrisonburg, Va., two brothers, Jay Duke of North Carolina and Gene Duke of Tennessee and a sister Patricia Stevens of Michigan, and two grandchildren, Tatianna Correa and Bianca Pierson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the Blackwell Memorial Home, 21 North Main St., Pennington with the Rev. Virginia Sheay officiating. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be private.
