Shirley Rae Brown

Shirley Rae Brown, beloved mother, cherished grandmother passed away peacefully on August 16, 2023, at the age of 94. 

Born on March 5, 1929, in Bordentown, she has been a resident of Pennington since 1948.  She found fulfillment in nurturing her family, dedicating her time and energy to creating a warm and welcoming home. Shirley's devotion to her loved ones was unparalleled, and her presence filled every room with laughter and love. Shirley was a past member of Pennington United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed taking her dog Ivy with her everywhere.

Predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Ada (Lawrence) Bowker, her sisters, Mae Hamilton and Jacqueline Bowker and her husband, George Brown.  She is survived by her children and their spouses, Gary G. and Cindy Brown and Bonnie Brown and David Grunwald; her sister, Janet Pigott, and grandchild, Michael Brown and his wife, Lauren, and great-granddaughters Jolene Rose and Grace Christine. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

All funeral services will be private. In the words of Shirley "I love you and miss you all, but be consoled by the fact that I'm now with my dear husband George in heaven"
