Sarah Agnus Wylie, 89, passed away peacefully in her home on the morning of December 6, 2017. At the age of twenty one she and her husband Hugh (Sammy) emigrated from Ballymena, Northern Ireland to America. They settled in Hopewell Township where she lived for sixty eight years.
She worked at Hill’s Market in Princeton as a bookkeeper for nearly thirty years until it was destroyed by a fire. Thereafter working at the Pennington Quality Market where she received the first “Employee of the Year Award”.
Sarah enjoyed going to local auctions and yard sales. For a number of years she would go to Maine on vacations for two weeks with friends and enjoyed the local color and lobster dinners. Sarah was a kind, loving and frugal person who was generous and giving as everyone who knew her would agree. She was notable for her wonderful sense of humor, her kindness, her math skills and was blessed with a beautiful singing voice. In accordance with Sarah’s strong Christian faith, she is redeemed.
Sarah is survived by a sister Margaret Ramsey and her husband Samuel, a niece Patricia Kirk of Ballymena and a niece Sally Eastoe of Melbourne, Australia. Sarah was predeceased by her husband Hugh, her brothers William and Dennis and a sister Matty.
Sarah will be remembered with much love by all who knew her.
Funeral arrangements are at the direction of Blackwell Memorial Home in Pennington
