Ruth S. Turner, 92 of Titusville, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Compassionate Care Hospice, RWJ Hamilton.
Born in South Jersey, Ruth went to school and was married in Pennington, NJ and resided in Titusville for the past 68 years.
She was predeceased by her parents, Phillip and Flossie (Hickman) Sheppard, her brothers, Glendon and Kenneth Sheppard and her husband of 68 years Eric W. Turner, Jr.
She is survived by her daughters, Gail T. Butterfoss and husband Richard of Pennington, Linda T. Narducci and husband Jonathan of Merrimack, NH, her son James E. Turner and wife Diane of Ewing, four grandchildren, Amanda L. Hujber and husband Steven of Pennington, Bryan T. Butterfoss and wife Kourtney of Pennington, Erin L. Narducci of Conifer, Colorado, Carrie A. Narducci of Seattle, WA and six great grandchildren.
She enjoyed her family, and as her children grew was a leader for many of their activities including Girl Scouts, 4-H, Cub Scouts and more.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Titusville throughout her childhood and adult years. She served on the Board of Trustees and Deacons as well as various other committees. Her church played a very important role in her life.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 9:30 – 10:30 am at the Blackwell Memorial Home, 21 N. Main Street, Pennington, NJ. Funeral service will follow at 10:30 am at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Good officiating. Burial will follow at the Harbourton Cemetery, Hopewell.
