Rustin Allen Miller

Rustin “Russ” Allen Miller, 58, of Hopewell passed away at his home Sunday Jan. 15, 2017.
Born in Torrence, CA, Russ resided in the Hopewell Twp. area.
He attended The Lawrenceville School, Lawrenceville, NJ, and Boston University, Boston, MA.
Russ was owner/operator of Onyx Fasteners Inc. for almost 32 years.
He often volunteered for the EASEL Animal Rescue League, helping with building, construction, and maintenance projects, as well as the Big East Akita organization (B.E.A.R). He was passionate and selfless when it came to dogs, especially those in need of rescue.
Predeceased by his parents, B. William and Claire McIntosh Miller and his maternal grandparents, Colonel Kenneth and Jessie McIntosh. Rusty is survived by his sister, Julie McIntosh Shapiro and brother, Wayne Anthony McIntosh. He is also survived by half-sister, Laurie Miller Petersen, half-brother, William Matthew Miller, and goddaughter, Erin Mallinson.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on February 25, 2017 at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 300 S. Main St., Pennington, NJ 08534.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the EASEL Animal Rescue League, Big East Akita Rescue (B.E.A.R), or a canine rescue shelter of your choice in Russ' name.
