Mary Margaret Tierney

Mary Margaret Tierney, of Pennington entered into eternal life on April 19, 2018. Born in Philadelphia, she had been a resident of Pennington for over 55 years. She also spent many summers living in Ocean City, New Jersey.

Mary worked as a Medical Technician in the Bacteriology Section of the Department of Pathology at US Walson Army Hospital in Fort Dix, New Jersey. She then worked in the research division of Johnson and Johnson Company.

Mary was a member of the St. James Church in Pennington, New Jersey and participated in many programs with the church. She especially enjoyed the Miriam Group.

Daughter of the late Margaret and Patrick Tierney, sister of the late Catherine Donovan, Francis Tierney, Ann Patricia Tierney, and Margaret Robinson; she is survived by nephews Gerald Donovan and Matthew Tierney, nieces, Marian T. Fean, Ann Bernice Hinderer and Patricia Donovan, and several grandnieces and grandnephews.

Mass of the Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday April 23, 2018 at 10:30AM in St. James Church, 115 East Delaware Avenue, Pennington. Calling hours will be 10:00AM-10:25AM. Internment will be in New St. Mary Cemetery, 515 West Browning Road, Bellmawr, New Jersey, 08031. Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Church, 115 E. Delaware Avenue, Pennington, New Jersey, 08534. Arrangements are by the Blackwell Memorial Home
