Port Murray. Mark R. Hoagland, a long time resident of Hunterdon County passed away at the age of 69 on Friday, August 28, at Morristown Medical Center. Mark grew up in Pennington with his parents, Mary and Derrick Hoagland, along with five siblings when life seemed much simpler. Mark is survived by his sisters, Kathleen Vorgang, Jeanne Green, brother-in-law, Michael Green, Joanne Frasca, brother-in-law, Mark Frasca and his brother Thomas Hoagland, a sister-in-law, Linda Hoagland. His brother Richard passed away in November of 2011. Mark is also survived by his children, Dawn Alexander and Mark Hoagland, four grandchildren, Bryn Alexander, Ian Alexander, Noah Hoagland and Alec Hoagland and many nieces and nephews. Mark was a graduate of Pennington Central High School, later known as Hopewell Valley High and served in U.S. Navy, aboard the USS Essex CVS-9 which toured around the world. Mark worked for many years for Ziegenfuss Drilling of Ringoes. His work provided travel and many humerous advertures to be told. A life well lived with family, good friends and hard work. He leaves us with broken hearts because it was too soon to lose him. Calling hours for friends and family will be held on Sunday September 20 , from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Blackwell Memorial Home, 21 N. Main St., Pennington. .
