Maria Eshewsky passed away after a lengthy illness on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Samaritan Hospice in Mount Holly, NJ. She was 87.
Maria was born in Regensburg, Germany to Johann and Franziska Dietz on December 22, 1931 and resided in Deuerling, Bavaria until moving to Munich in 1953 where she later met her husband, Walter. Maria and Walter relocated to the United States in 1955 and eventually moved to Ewing Township, where she resided for the past 61 years. Maria was employed by General Motors, Fischer Body Division until her retirement thirty-five years ago.
In addition to her parents, Maria was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Walter, who passed away in 1995, and her brothers, Hans, Georg and Konrad.
Maria was the devoted mother of Peter R. (Laura) of Langhorne, PA, and Karen Adesso (Gary) of Acworth, GA; the loving grandmother of Phillip Eshewsky (Savi), Michael Adesso (Kaitlyn), Kevin Adesso, Stephen Eshewsky, Peter Eshewsky, Jennifer Kulak (Brett), Amy Gregory (Matt), Lauren Eshewsky, Melissa Cairone (Andrew) and Catherine Eshewsky; loving great-grandmother of Phillip, Matthew, John, Eva, Luke, and Jolene; dear sister of Anneliese and Gertraud; also sisters-in-law, Paula and Helene, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins all residing in Germany.
The family will receive friends at the Blackwell Memorial Home, 21 N. Main St., Pennington, NJ 08534 on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 10am until 11am. Funeral service will begin at 11am followed by burial in Ewing Church Cemetery. Please visit www.blackwellmh.com for additional information.
