Mardella J. Johnson

Hopewell Township. Mardella J. (Fisher) Johnson, 89, September 18, 1924 - June 21, 2014 Born in Stockton, Mardella was the daughter of Everett B. Fisher and Julia H. (Allen) Fisher and was the middle of five brothers. She was preceded in death by her 2 older brothers Everett B. Fisher, Jr. (Glenna) and Douglas C. Fisher (June). Wife of James Elwood Johnson for 66 years Mardella is survived by her husband, her younger brothers Allen H. Fisher (Helen) and John B Fisher (Fran). her brother-law Robert B. Johnson(Sophie) and sister-in-law Ruth Wister, her son James R. Johnson, his wife Kathleen (Marion) Johnson, their daughter Julia Elizabeth and many nieces and nephews to three generations for whom she cared greatly. She was employed as a bookkeeper for many years. She was a member of Lawrenceville Grange, Mercer County Pomona Grange, New Jersey State Grange and the National Grange. She held various offices as a member of grange. Her hobbies were knitting, crocheting and doing crossword puzzles. Mardella was a lifelong member of the Ewing Presbyterian Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Funeral service and burial will be private under the direction of the Blackwell Memorial Home. In lieu of flowers Mardella requested that donations be made to the program, her beloved granddaughter, Julia attends: LIFE PATH, 3500 High Point Blvd., Bethlehem, PA 18017, Attn: Ann Marie Surovy and specify Sellersville Day Program.
