Maggie Roberts, 86, of Ewing died peacefully, surrounded by her devoted family Tuesday in Capital Health, Fuld campus. She was born in Amherst, Virginia and had been a resident of Pennington for many years before moving to Ewing NJ.
Family and friends were Maggie’s passion and delight. Maggie was an avid cook and baker, often hosting the family parties. In addition to raising her two children she enjoyed volunteering at Pennington Presbyterian Church.
Grandmother of the late Timothy Eland Jr. Maggie is survived by her husband of 66 years, George J. Roberts and two children, Donald and his wife Nina and Deborah Geehan and her husband Rick. She is also survived by a brother, Frank Hicks, Jr and his wife Estelle, two sisters, Mary Ellen Johns and her husband Fletcher, Velta Roberts and sister in-law Stella Hicks. In addition, she is survived by four grandchildren, Dylan, Dustin and David Roberts, Melany Kerrigan as well as 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the Blackwell Memorial Home, 21 N. Main St., Pennington with the Rev. Nancy Mikoski, pastor of the Pennington Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery at 350 Province Line Rd. Wrightstown. Visitation will be on Sunday afternoon from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Blackwell Memorial Home.
