Keith R. Petrie

January 13, 1955 — July 25, 2019

Keith R. Petrie, 64, died on July 24, 2019, in Fort Myers, Florida. He was born in Trenton and had spent most of his years in Pennington.
He attended the Hopewell Township Schools and graduated from Hopewell Valley High School, Class of 1973. He Served 15 years in the U.S. Army, reaching the rank of Sergeant First Class, first in Germany and later spent years in Korea acting as a Language Specialist. Following his retirement from the Army, he worked as a security guard at Stoney Brook Assisted Living in Pennington.
He was involved in athletics in school, particularly baseball and was a fan of all the Philly teams.
He is the son of the late Eileen Brennan and Kenneth Petrie and is survived by two sisters and their husbands; Catherine and Michael McMahon and Jane and Charles Chmielewski, two brothers Timothy and Thomas, four nieces and nephews. Sean McMahon, Megan Schmeltzer and her husband Joseph, Tyler and Ashley Chmielewski and a great nephew Rowan Joseph Schmeltzer.
Friends may call on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Blackwell Memorial Home, 21 N. Main St., Pennington NJ. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the Friends Burial Ground, Wrightstown, PA. Contributions in Keith’s name may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
