Kathryn G. O’Donnell, 74, of Pennington, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2019, after a long illness.
Kathy was born in East Orange, New Jersey on June 3, 1944. She married James J. O’Donnell on August 31, 1962; they were
married 57 years.
Kathy was a very loving and dedicated wife, mother, daughter, and sister. A natural-born caregiver and a strong woman, Kathy
enrolled in a nursing program while raising her three children, graduated with honors, and then went on to have a fulfilling career
as a nurse.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband Jim, their daughter Peggy (Matt), sons Michael and Robert (Noelle), seven grandchildren,
and siblings Beverly, Edward, and Arlene. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Margaret Kanzler, as well as
her brother Kenneth.
Kathy died with great courage and enormous dignity. She left this world a better place. She will be thought of and spoken of
fondly for generations.
The funeral arrangements have been performed by the Blackwell Memorial Home in Pennington, NJ.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 14, at St. James Roman Catholic Church, 115 E Delaware Ave., Pennington from 9:00 to
10:00 am; the Funeral Mass will immediately follow the viewing. The burial will take place at Neshanic Cemetery, on Amwell Road
in Hillsborough, NJ.
