John T. “Jack” Benyon Sr., 90, of Whiting passed away Sunday at The Pines at Whiting.
Born in Trenton, he lived in Ewing most of his life before moving to Whiting 7 years ago.
Mr. Benyon was an Iron Worker with the Iron Workers Union Local 277.
An Army veteran of the Korean War, he attended the Massanutten Military Academy in VA. He was an avid camper, a founding member of Capital Campers and Roving Stars Camping Clubs.
Mr. Benyon also enjoyed traveling and his family was his pride and joy.
Predeceased by his parents, John and Anna Callahan Benyon, and his wife of 64years, Eleanor M. Ischinger Benyon he is survived by 2 sons -, John T. “Jack” Benyon Jr. and his wife Pamela of Mooresville, NC and Robert L. Benyon of Highland Lakes, NJ; his daughter, Linda Robinson and her husband Carl of W. Trenton; 3 grandchildren, Jessica Pascoe and husband Justin, Chelsey Pugh and her husband Michael, and Michael Benyon and his wife Amanda; 4 great grandchildren; also, several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 - 11am at the Blackwell Memorial Home, 21 N. Main Street, Pennington, NJ 08534. Funeral Service will begin at 11am followed by burial in Ewing Church Cemetery.
