Jason (Jay) Sellner, of Hamilton NJ entered into God’s embrace on Thursday, April 27 th ,
2023.
Born in Rockville Centre New York, Jay moved to Hamilton in 2021. He previously
resided in Ewing and Hopewell Twp NJ. Jay was a graduate of Hopewell Valley Central
High School, Mercer County Community College and Connecticut School of
Broadcasting in Cherry Hill NJ. Jay began a career working in Security for Guardsmark
and spent many years working for Lockheed Martin as a Badging Coordinator and
Safes & Locks Coordinator. After leaving Lockheed Martin, Jay fell back in love with
Broadcasting, starting up his own Business with his Brother Jeff and friend Larry
Charlip. They named the Business Sports Skillet Radio after Jay’s favorite band Skillet.
Jay was a thoughtful, caring and loving son, brother and friend to many. Jay was a
proud member of St. George’s Parish in Titusville and served as a fourth degree (Sir
Knight) of Columbus. He was a Member of Hopewell Council #7103 serving as the
Treasurer.
Predeceased by his Parents, Gerald Paul Sellner, and Marguerite Ann Montana Sellner,
Jay is survived by his loving Brother Jeffrey, two uncles, Charles Montana and his wife
Patricia of Long Island NY and George Montana and his wife Jamie of Long Island NY.
Jay is also survived by his many beloved and loving cousins who will miss him dearly.
Jay had many special and close friends that included Ethan Gordon, Pete Fusco, Rob
Conrad, and Kelley Figueroa. Jay was a die-hard Philadelphia Sports fan and had great
passion for the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, and Sixers. He also greatly enjoyed Pro
Wrestling, as a fan. Jay, along with his dad and brother, had season tickets to the
Phillies and he enjoyed going to many games together to cheer on his team. He
enjoyed going to many concerts (especially with his buddy Ethan), his favorite bands
were Skillet and KISS. His favorite hobby was simply chatting with his many friends in
person or on the phone. As a Knight of Columbus, he enjoyed being on the Golf
Committee and serving as their Treasurer. Jay enjoyed traveling to many places with
his friends including his fantasy baseball group Pinetar who met up each year in
different baseball cities to attend games and tour the cites they visited. In thinking
about a favorite quote, Jay would always begin conversations with “What’s Crack a
Lackin?, after which he enjoyed hearing the updates.
Jay had zest for life and many passions. Although we will miss him greatly, we will take
these memories of him with us.
