Pennington. George W. Vannoy, 76, formerly of Pennington, NJ died on October 15, in Andover Subacute Care, Andover, NJ. Born in Pennington he spent most of his life in the area. He graduated from the Pennington School in 1957 and Rider College in 1961. He was a former investigator for the State of NJ, Dept of Labor He served on the Mercer County Executive Committee to the NJ: State Exempt Fireman's Asso He was a life member of the Pennington First Aid Squad and a third generation member of the Pennington Fire Company. He was a third generation member of Cyrus Lodge, No. 48 F&AM of Pennington and a Charter member of Horizan Daylight Lodge No. 299 F&AM He was a retired Municipal Court Clerk and Emergency Management Co-ordinator for Pennington Borough and a life member of the Sons of the Revolution. He was also a member of the Pennington United Methodist Church. Son of the late George H. and Ruth Dye Vannoy, he is survived by three cousins, David Barbour III, and his wife, Marge of Langhorne, PA, Linda Barbour Laster and her husband, Larry of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Barbara Burr Rippetoe of Mason, Ohio.. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Pennington Cemetery under the directions of the Blackwell Memorial Home.
