George J Bergen

George J. Bergen, 93, died at home with his family by his side on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016.   
Born in Elizabeth, NJ, George raised his family in Wyckoff and was Vice President of the National Association of Securities Dealers, managing the New York office until his retirement in 1986.  He was an avid golfer and sailor. 
George was predeceased by his parents, William and Jeanette (Devlin) Bergen, his wife, Jean A. (Conley) Bergen, one son, Clement, and three siblings.  He is survived by his beloved children: Terry Bergen and wife Wheatley, Chris Bergen and wife Candace Kendle, Barbara Andercheck and husband Edward, Sally Bergen, and Mary Dampier.  He is also survived by daughter-in-law Nancie Bergen and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday , December 17, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anastasia’s Church, 21 N. Main St. Harriman, NY 10926 [(845) 238-3844] with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Blackwell Memorial Home, Pennington, NJ [(609) 737-2900].
