Frank J. Litecky, 91, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2023, surrounded by his family. Born on June 4, 1932, to Andrej Litecky and Maria Velgas Litecky (originally from Czechoslovakia). Frank was preceded in death by his parents; brother Andrew Litecky, sister Margaret Demkovich and sister Mary Geffert. Frank is survived by his devoted wife Anne Litecky of 63 years, their three daughters: Denise Marie Solon (Eric), Karen Anne Melendez (Freddie), and Sharon Lynn Litecky; granddaughters Danielle Marie Solon-Humble (Andrew) and Katherina Anne Channell (Dylan); step-grandsons Freddy (Colleen), Armando, and Adam Melendez; and great-grandchildren Matthew and Sylvia Melendez.
Frank grew up on a dairy farm in Pemberton Township, New Jersey; served as a Private in the US Army (1954-1956) before marrying in Scranton, PA and establishing a home in Mercer County, NJ where he resided for 60 years. A specialized machinist and tool & die maker, Frank was owner of Superior Mold & Die Company in Trenton, NJ.
Frank was a devoted husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend; he loved people, had an amazing ability for mathematics and could fix nearly anything mechanical just by thinking about it. He adored his two Yorkies, enjoyed campfires, home cooking, Polkas, learning new things, and telling a joke or two.
Frank attended St. James Roman Catholic Church in Pennington, NJ where he served as usher and volunteered for numerous activities including serving the poor, church youth, and the community at large. In later years, he and Anne enjoyed the company of good friends at the Hopewell Valley Senior Center.
Frank’s final days were spent at Holy Family Senior Living in Bethlehem, PA where he grew to be loved by all staff.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Frank’s services on Friday, December 29th at St. James Catholic Church in Pennington, NJ. The viewing is at 10:00am, immediately followed by mass at 11:00am; with interment after mass at Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton, NJ.
