Pennington. Eileen (Ziereis) Astalosh, 90, of Pennington died Sept. 29 at St. Joseph's Skilled Nursing Center, Lawrenceville. Born in Trenton, she had lived in Pennington since her marriage in 1952. She had been a secretary at Rider University and retired in 1989. She was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Pennington, its Senior Club and Prayer Network. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Astalosh, her mother and father, Madeline and Robert Ziereis and her brother and sister-in-law, Robert , Jr. and Dolores Ziereis, as well as her favorite Aunt and Uncle, Elizabeth and Horace Rue, who raised her. She is survived by her son, Frank G. Astalosh of Battle Ground, WA and her daughter and son-in-law, JoAnne and Craig Persing of Titusville, two grandsons, Craig, Jr. and Kyle Persing, and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, October 3, at St. James Church, 115 East Delaware Ave., Pennington. Burial will be in Harbourton Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 7:00 TO 9:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 8:80 to 9:00 a.m. on Friday at the Blackwell Memorial Home, 21 North Main St., Pennington.
