Dorothy Higgins Baran, 92, of Pennington died at RWJ Hamilton on Monday. She was born in Flemington and had been a resident of Pennington for 60 years before moving to Hamilton three years ago.
Dorothy was best known by the residents of Hopewell Township as “The Wreath Lady of Harbourton” because of the beautiful Christmas wreaths she made for 55years. She had also been the manager of Higgins Gas Station in Flemington.
Wife of the late Robert Baran, she is survived by two sons, Robert and his partner Beth Domboiski of Pennington and Glenn Baran of Lambertville and two grandchildren, Alexander Baran and Dorothy and her husband, Ezra Romanov.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, November 2, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Blackwell Memorial Home, 21 N. Main St., Pennington, interment will be private. For condolences visit our website at blackwellmh.com.
