Hopewell Township. David J. "Nudge" Hart, 58, passed away at his home on Tuesday. Born in Trenton, he had lived in Hopewell Township all of his life. Dave graduated from Hopewell Valley Central High School. Throughout his school age years, he worked on Dun Craven Farms on Bear Tavern Road with Uncle Ed and enjoyed working with the horses. He retired from the NJ State Department of Transportation in 2004. He had a big heart and was always willing to help anyone who needed it. He loved the Jersey Shore, particularly LBI and the Barnegat light house. He was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan and also enjoyed stock car racing, avidly following Jeff Gordon's career. Son of the late Fred and Elaine Hart and brother of the late Ronald Hart, he is survived by a sister, Barbara Ellsworth and her husband, Richard of Jamesburg, a brother Fred Hart and his wife Maria of West Amwell and a sister-in-law, Holly Hart of Yardley. He is also survived by 6 nieces and nephews; Karen Ellsworth of Plainsboro, Christina and Julia Hart of West Amwell, and Samuel, Rebecca and Matthew Hart of Yardley and a dear friend, Jill Klockner. Funeral services will be private under the direction of the Blackwell Memorial Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
