Claire P Hellewell

Claire DelleMonache Hellewell, age 91, of Hopewell, NJ, died on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Somerville, NJ.  Born in Pennington, NJ, Claire had been a resident of Hopewell for the past 52 years.  She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and the Alter Rosary Society; the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 339, Hopewell Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary; Rocky Hill 76’ers, the Hopewell Leisure Club and the Montgomery Senior Citizens Club.  Preceded in death by her parents, Domenick and Antoinette DelleMonache; her husband, William Hellewell; brother, James DelleMonache; sisters, Eva Dilts and Rena Messina; and a nephew, D. Scott Dilts.  Mrs. Hellewell is survived by a niece and her husband, Barbara and J. Hart Cromwell; and a sister-in-law, Carmella DelleMonache.  Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, November 3, 2023 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, E. Prospect Street and Princeton Avenue in Hopewell, NJ.  Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery, Hopewell, NJ.  Calling Hours are Friday 10:00-10:45AM.
