Cheryl P. Lucky

Our dear mother, Cheryl Patricia Lucky, 76, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at home. 

Cheryl was born on February 24, 1947 to William Lewis Wengle and Dorothy Elizabeth (Castley) Wengle in East Orange, N.J.  

 

After High School graduation, Sherry went on to get her cosmetology license. Eventually, she moved to Hamilton, N.J. after her second marriage to John A. Lucky. After the birth of her second daughter, Sherry dedicated her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother and wife. Despite the marriage ending, they both remained in each other's lives as friends. Once her children were older, she became well-respected in the medical community as the office manager in a local nephrology office. Sherry excelled at supporting her family through many passions and difficulties of their lives. Sherry made it her mission to improve the lives of others. Sherry enjoyed spending time with family, friends, at the beach, and looking her best.  We will miss her greatly.

 

Cheryl was predeceased by her parents and sister, Dorothy (Wengle) Green. Cheryl is survived by daughters Lori A. Lucky, 55, of Hamilton, N.J, Candace M. Lucky, 48, of Brick, N.J.,  Penelope T. (Lucky) Malyska, 46, of Hamilton, N.J., her niece, Susan (LaBarbera) Waddell and her grandchildren Anthony Miele, Brittany (Miele) Jones, and Alessandra and Nicholas Malyska.

 

The family requests that all flowers and notes be sent to Hartmann Funeral Home at 2830 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Twp, N.J. 08619.  Family and friends are invited to a service and to pay their last respects on Monday, June 26, 2023 at Hartmann Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.  The funeral will be held graveside at Barnegat Memorial Cemetery, West Bay Ave. on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 11:45 am.
