Carolyn Fisher, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on April 6, 1942, in the Bronx, NY, Carolyn grew up in Rye, NY, where she forged lifelong friendships and embraced a love for learning that would guide her throughout her life.
Carolyn graduated from Skidmore College and earned her master's degree at Columbia University, reflecting her deep passion for education and personal growth. Her career as a social worker for the State of New York exemplified her commitment to helping others, as she dedicated herself to improving the lives of countless families with compassion and care. Among the many milestones of her life, Carolyn considered adopting her daughter, Lora, later in life to be one of her greatest and most fulfilling decisions. Becoming a mother brought her immense joy and purpose, and she created a loving home filled with warmth, guidance, and unwavering support.
She treasured the many places she called home, from the vibrant streets of Manhattan to the peaceful community of Pennington, NJ. Carolyn also cherished her annual trips to the Adirondacks, where she reunited with lifelong friends, finding happiness in the natural beauty and enduring bonds of those cherished gatherings.
Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Mark Ingraham; her devoted daughter, Lora Ingraham; and her cherished brother, Bernard Caesar. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Caesar and Jean Caesar Schaffer.
Carolyn's legacy is one of love, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to those she cared for. Her kind spirit, deep compassion, and love of life will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
