Langhorne, PA. Biddle Newbold Black, 92 , died January 6, 2015 in Langhorne, Pa. He was born in Bordentown, NJ, June 24, 1922 to the Late William A.N. Black and Grace Ingersoll Reeder Black. He was a long time resident of Pennington, NJ and a 20 year resident of Attleboro Village, Langhorne, Pa. Mr Black was a poultry and egg farmer in Pennington and later farmed grain with his brother, William, in the Allentown area. To many people he was known as "the egg man", because retailed eggs and processed chickens in the Trenton/Lawrenceville area. He also worked for Hopewell Township in a school bus driver and road department worker. Mr. Black was an 80 year member of the Hamilton Grange. He was involved in 4-H for many years from chaperoning youth in his twenties to leading the Mercer Furriers 4-H club and chairing the Mercer County 4-H and Farmers' Show. Mr. Black was predeceased by his wife, Audrey Golden Black; a sister Alice Wain, brothers, William and Horace. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Roszel Sprague Black of Langhorne, Pa; daughters Janet Jones(Daniel) of Bridgewater, Va, Debby Lane(Leigh) of Blanch, N.C., grandson, Mitchell Jones(Lauren) and great granddaughter, Claire Audrey Jones of Washington, NJ , grandsons Adam Lane(Tammi) of Blanch, N.C., Charles Lane of Fort Collins, Co., granddaughter Sara Jean Lane of Winston Salem, N.C. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, at the Blackwell Memorial Home, 21 N. Main St., Pennington, with the Rev. James Biggs officiating. Interment will be private in Pennington Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00p.m. until the time of the service at the memorial home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Attleboro Residents Fund, 290 E. Winchester Ave., Langhorne, PA or the National Parkinson Foundation, PO Box 5018, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5018.
