Bernice L. Maze, 88, of Hopewell Township . died at her home on Tuesday, surrounded by her family. She was born in Trenton and had been a resident of Hopewell Township for 65 years.
She graduated from Trenton High School and received her associate degree from Rider. She was employed as a secretary for Trenton State College before her retirement.
Bernice was a member and former secretary of Lawrenceville Grange No. 170, A member and former secretary of the Mercer County Pomona Grange No. 5 and member of the NJ State Grange. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Trenton.
Among her favorite things were taking the family to Wildwood and reading.
She was daughter of the late Walter and Gladys Minschwaner and sister of the late Joan Falkler. Bernice is survived by three sons and their wives; “Skip” Morris E and Tamie Maze III, Walter Earl and Terry Maze, James B. and Jean Maze and a daughter and her husband, Bonnie Lee and Charles Garafano, Jr
as well as a brother, Walter E Minschwaner and his wife June and eight grandchildren, Stacey, Morris IV, Walter Jr, Jessica, Alexandra, Charles III, Gracemarie and Aviana and 4 great grandchildren, Kayleigh, Morris V., Gianna and Natalya as well as many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 6, at 1:30 pm. in Ewing Church Cemetery, Ewing.
On Sunday, January 8, a Gathering of Remembrance will be held in Morrell Hall , Pennington United Methodist Church, 60 South Main Street. from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Please join us to honor, what would have been Bernice’s 89th Birthday.
