Barbara Ann Schoenthaler

Barbara Ann Schoenthaler, 87, of Jensen Beach, FL passed away peacefully June 5, 2019. Barbara was born in Belmar, NJ and resided in Pennington, NJ for more than 50 years.
She was a secretary for NJ Bankers Association in Princeton, NJ, and prior to her retirement was secretary to the Bishops of the NJ Area of the United Methodist Church from 1985 to 1998.
Barbara was a member of the Pennington United Methodist Church for 57 years. She was active in the United Methodist Women, served as Chairman of the Hospitality Committee, was a vital part of the Rummage Sale Committee, and was a long-time member of the church choir. She was a loving, giving friend to many in the community.
Barbara married Foster H. Schoenthaler, Jr., in 1955 and they enjoyed 35 years of marriage prior to his passing in 1990. She is survived by 2 sons: Jack and his wife Amy of Birmingham, AL and their children Amanda and Laura; Rob and his wife Sharon of Jensen Beach, FL and their children Kristina and Jacob; a brother, Bob Schuetz of Jensen Beach, FL; and a brother-in-law and his wife, Dave and Marilyn Schoenthaler of Yardley, PA.
A memorial service will be held at the Pennington United Methodist Church, 60 S. Main St., Pennington, NJ 08534, on Saturday June 22nd at 11:00 am, followed by a reception.
In lieu of flowers, donation in Barbara’s name may be made to The First United Methodist Church of Pennington, or the charity of your choice.
Interment will be private at the Fountain Lawn Cemetery, in Ewing, NJ. Arrangements are by the Blackwell Memorial Home. For condolences visit the website at blackwellmh.com
